THE BRIEF HISTORY OF COMPUTRONIX TECHNOLOGIES®
Computronix Technologies® was conceived and conceptualised as far back as early 1990’s when the business started dealing with PCB circuit boards, electronic integrated circuit (IC) chips, FM transmitter project prototypes, capacitors and satellite dish of all types and sizes. This IT business enterprise remained unregistered business as at then, due to stringent and undemocratic economic policies of the ruling military junta then in Nigeria, while we continued facilitating, supporting, and training final year students on scientific, technological, engineering, and mathematical (STEM) school projects in higher institutions of learning from then to these present days under the current name of Systemtronix Learning Centre (SLC), which is owned and managed nowadays by our parent company – Systemtronix Solutions Limited®.
In 1994, this enterprising IT business outfit ventured into computing technologies and system repairs after completing a Business-2-Business (B2B) apprenticeship treaty with a registered and well experienced IT firm in a Nigeria metropolitan coal city called Enugu by sharing knowledge on total hands-on IT hardware and software skills, plus work experience with the apprenticeship employer/partner in Enugu, and other IT companies in Lagos and Portharcourt cities of Nigeria under a collaborative technical exchange programme with the IT associate professionals.
This IT Services Company also had the experience of working with Microsoft Disk Operating System (MS-DOS), Windows 95 and Windows 98 during the period of existence for such Operating Systems (OS). It is worthy to remember that our server, desktop, and laptop computer repairs and maintenance have been going on since those days Windows 85 and Windows 98 were still in use. Computronix Technologies® is a well-versed IT Services Company that is NOT theoretically minded, and is also NOT much concerned about maximising profit margins, but can better be described as a top-notch IT Services Company that is sustainably resourced with practical oriented IT workforce and IT project teams; as we strongly engage in blending theory with practice on daily basis in our corporate endeavours and existence.
Computronix Technologies® later advanced into Web Design and Development with the use of HTML 1.0, when there was no facilitating web development platform except using the hard way of developing from the scratch with HTML web programming language. This IT Services Company is quite proud of her abilities in programming various business operations and university education projects with FORTRAN programming language during the early 1990’s, and her effective participation in Web Flipping business by trading as a DOMAINER during the era of domain boom. Computronix Technologies® kept on growing her competitive advantage; and overcoming competitors by becoming the earliest users of ‘’What You See Is What You Get’’ (WYSIWYG) web tool known as FrontPage 1.0 Editor in 1995; which was being used for web design as at then. This IT Services Company devised means of transferring large files in 1995 with the use of File Transfer Protocol (FTP). We also successfully carried out our first internetworking project with DIAL-UP INTERNET when it was still en vogue in Nigeria; way back in the 1990’s.
In December 2001, the Founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Computronix Technologies® designed, constructed, and tested electronic pain killer medical device as a First Degree University project, and later in the product development lifecycle (PDL), he developed a software driver for the medical device that enabled the medical device to start communicating with computer systems; thereby setting up a machine-to-machine communication: This IT Services Company still hold the patency to that project, which had remained the best of its kind in any Nigeria-based University to date. In fact, nobody or tech business / company ever attempted venturing into such project in any Nigeria university, business enterprise or company since our Founder & CTO unveiled that his First Degree University project in December 2001.
Computronix Technologies® became registered in October 2006, when the Nigeria government and democratic leadership transition programme started showing strong positive signs of embracing a lasting democratic rule. This IT Services Company we registered as Computronix Technologies® became the subsidiary of Systemtronix Solutions Limited® in December 2009. This merged business outfit later became internationalised in the year 2010/2011 when it became registered with tax obligations to Her Majesty Revenue and Customs (HMRC) in the United Kingdom under the Highly Skilled Migrant Programme; as a sole trader business that traded in the United Kingdom as RON Support Services, which was indulged in IT Technical Support and Project Management service offerings at our business premises then, located on a business nerve centre in a busy business district in East London of United Kingdom. We operated in the UK business environment between the period of 2010-to-2016; where we saved many businesses from extinction through quality information technology (IT), project management, business analysis, and business consulting services delivery by giving UK businesses competitive edge against competitors from other high-tech countries across the world in the ever increasing competitive global marketplaces
